When you are trying to conceive, every choice starts to feel important. What you eat, what you drink, how you rest. As a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, I wanted to give our fertility community something simple they could add to their day with confidence, built on research rather than trends. That is Bloom Blend.

How Bloom Blend began

Bloom Blend was developed in partnership with Dr. Aisling Lanigan, ND, of Flourish, the naturopathic team working inside Twig Fertility in Toronto. Flourish reviewed and approved the formula, and it is the juice they recommend to their patients. It is the only fertility juice we make, and it contains three ingredients and nothing else: organic beets, watermelon and ginger, cold pressed fresh in Toronto and never HPP'd.

What the research found

In 2023, a study published in JBRA Assisted Reproduction followed 436 women undergoing IVF with ICSI. The women who drank a fresh beet, watermelon and ginger juice once a day, from embryo transfer until their pregnancy test, had a clinical pregnancy rate of 41 percent, compared with 22 percent in the group that did not. No side effects were reported (Halpern et al., 2023).

That study is the foundation of Bloom Blend. We use the same three ingredients, and the ratio is deliberately not sweet, because the formula was built around the research, not around taste. It is one study, and more research is needed, but it is a promising result, and it is the reason this juice exists.

Why each ingredient is there

Beets are naturally rich in dietary nitrates, which the body converts into nitric oxide, a molecule that helps blood vessels relax and supports healthy blood flow. Good circulation is one of the reasons beets are so valued in fertility nutrition. Beets also provide folate, a nutrient every fertility plan pays attention to.

Watermelon hydrates deeply and is one of the richest food sources of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant. It also contains citrulline, which the body uses to make arginine, another building block of nitric oxide, so it works alongside the beets to support circulation.

Ginger adds warmth, supports circulation and digestion, and is well known for easing nausea, which many of our customers appreciate through treatment and early pregnancy.

How to drink it

Ideally, drink one 8oz bottle every day through your cycle or treatment. Bloom Blend is completely fresh and lasts 4 days, so order a 4 pack and then a 3 pack to cover your week with every bottle at its best. We deliver fresh daily across the GTA. Many customers continue after a positive test with the approval of their care team. As with everything we make, consistency matters more than timing.

A note from me

A close friend of mine spent eight years on her fertility journey. She tried many things along the way and made a lot of holistic changes. She drank Bloom Blend for a while, and not long after, she became pregnant. She is the first to say it was never just one thing, but she believes in it, and she was impressed that Dr. Lanigan uses it with her own patients.

No juice can promise an outcome, and I would never suggest otherwise. But I know how much it means to feel you are doing something nourishing for your body every day, and that is what Bloom Blend is for.

Please check with your fertility team, doctor or midwife about what is right for you.
